Dr. Doug Culver

Dr. Douglas J. Culver was Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew Studies at Erskine Seminary in Due West, South Carolina and was widely published both as a columnist and scholar. Formerly of Greensboro, North Carolina, he moved to South Florida in 1985 and became Senior Pastor of Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables, FL. In 1990, Dr. Culver moved to Fort Pierce, FL, where he was the Senior Pastor of St. Lucie West Presbyterian Church for over ten years. He held a bachelor's degree in history from Wheaton College, a Bachelor of Divinity from Bethel Theological Seminary, a Th.M. in systematic theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Ph.D. in Semitics, magna cum laude, from New York University. He died of a sudden illness on January 29, 2007.
